Time to sign up for the 2018 Pitcher & Catcher skills clinics! This offering will be during the 2 to 3 weeks leading up to the diocesan baseball & softball practice season. It will start in mid-February and end towards the beginning of March. It is intended for pitchers & catchers of the upcoming St. Brigid parish teams. The program will offer light instruction and repetition, either in the St. Brigid gym or, weather permitting, outside at Brigid's Green. The program will meet 2 to 3 times a week in that time span. The program is for girls and boys of all registered parishioners, St. Brigid School students, and St. Brigid Religious Education students, 4th thru 8th grade. Team Practices to begin in early March. It's time to signup for 2018 St. Brigid Track and Field Season! This program is for 4th thru 8th grade boys and girls of all registered parishioners, or enrolled in Religious Education, or attending St. Brigid school! Track practices will begin in early March. The track meets are on five consecutive Saturdays, starting on April 7 and the track season ends with the diocesan championships on Saturday, May 5. This program is for 2nd and 3rd grade boys and girls of all registered parishioners, enrolled religious education students, or students of St. Brigid elementary school. The goal of this program is to teach the fundamentals of the sport of volleyball, in a safe and fun environment at the St. Brigid Gymnasium. The fee will cover a volleyball and a sport shirt for each participant. The program will run for SEVEN Sundays in April and May (excluding Easter and Mother's Day!). Second grade to meet from 5 to 6 p.m., and third grade to meet from 6 to 7 p.m. Starting early April, concluding towards the end of May. Further Questions? IMPORTANT REQUIREMENT for the 2017-2018 School Year:
All 4th, 5th, 6th & 7th Grade athletes will have to have had 1 of their parents/guardians attend a 1 hour PARENT LIKE A CHAMPION TODAY training event for eligibility in all DIOCESAN sponsored sports ("club" sports are exempt from this requirement) at St. Brigid. This is a mandatory training module, required of only ONE parent or guardian, and only needs to be attended ONCE. St. Brigid conducts and offers this training prior to each upcoming sport season. For the upcoming SPRING SPORTS 2018 season, for flexibility and convenience, St. Brigid is offering the training on Tuesday, March 13, from 7 to 8 p.m. in the Hendricks Hall Berry Room.
